Untold Stories of Courage
WHO WE ARE
Women of Valour is the creation of multiple award-winning broadcast journalist, Nana Aba Anamoah.
Simply known as WoV, it is aimed at recognizing and highlighting women with unique stories of courage as the world marks the annual International Women’s Day in March.
Every 7th of March, a day before the International Day for Women, we assemble incredible women from different backgrounds, orientation, and culture whose stories reflect and connect with the reality of most women and girls. Most importantly, their stories inspire us to persevere and confront our worst fears.

Nana Aba Anamoah's Message
Welcome to the 2024 edition Women of Valour! I am thrilled at the opportunity to continue to celebrate and honour extraordinary women who have made a significant impact in various fields.
2024 is a special year for me. It marks a significant milestone of my career on and off the screens. This is why I have assembled 3 of my favourite ladies whose work continue to pave way for women and girls in media and arts.
Our 2024 Women of Valour have shattered stereotypes, broken barriers, and paved the way for future generations. From trailblazing leaders to fearless activists and change-makers, these women have left an indelible mark on many.
Through their unwavering strength, passion, and commitment, they have inspired countless others to dream big and strive for greatness. Their stories serve as a reminder that no obstacle is too great, and that with determination and perseverance, we can overcome any challenge.
I’d like to remind us to continue to appreciate the power of women. We can multitask like nobody's business - juggle careers, families, and still find time to binge-watch our favorite shows.
So, here's to all the wonder women out there who conquer the world and still manage to find their keys in their purses!
Cheers to all women of valour; may we know them, may we be them, may we never underestimate the power of finding courage and may we support each other.
When in doubt, drink water and ask yourself: ‘what would a woman of valour do?
